A Small Reflection from a Cherry Tree

I sat in the boughs of the cherry blossom tree
Thinking why was this bullshit happening to me
I looked o’er the lake as the ducklings play
Wishing they were up here sharing my misery.
Why do they swim with no doubts or fears, well
‘Cos they know they’ve only got a few years,
So make of this short life what you will,
‘Cos there’s only ever one, and you better use it well.
This is what I think in the cherry blossom tree,
So I’ll climb down and live how’s best for me.
